Working From HOME

I hope this finds everyone safe and sound.  These are difficult times, but they are not hopeless times.  Just like you, I have had friends, family and clients who have gone through COVID-19 scares.  Thankfully no one I know has died.

My heart goes out to those who have experienced dealing with death during this time - whether from the frontlines or with your own household.

My mom was in the ICU for 3 days (she is okay now) and my dad had an ER visit and came home with a nebulizer.  It's been scary.  Many of the practitioners I work with have shared they've experienced COVID symptoms but were unable to get tested.  Some have ended up in the hospital, or diagnosed by their primary care doctor, with pneumonia.

In my consulting practice, clients have had pneumonia symptoms and urgent care diagnoses since late November and I wonder how many of those may have been this virus?  I have no idea when we will know the truth but I do...

Fear Not - Live, Love & Learn

Hello my health conscious friends!

I hope this finds you well and safe.  I wanted to send a message to FEAR NOT.  Not because I have any answers or a magic remedy to fix the situation, but because FEAR CAN LOWER YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM.

For more information on how emotional responses like stress and fear do this click here: Simple Psychology

One of our healthy activities we are doing at home is growing organic sprouts from Hamama.  It’s the easiest, cleanest and best way I have ever grown sprouts.  My daughter has kept us in sprouts weekly.  Click on my affiliate link to order yours here: SANDRA’S HAMAMA LINK

I have received phone calls, emails, and texts (with lots of emojis) expressing stress and worry over the Corona Virus (COVID-19).

Yes, this is a serious health crisis we are under.  Most people and companies are unprepared for how to handle quarantine, supplies, business protocols, childcare and anything else that is...

Happy & Healthy Holidays!

Where has the time gone?  I mean, it seems like it was just yesterday I was enjoying beautiful summer weather and now it's Thanksgiving!  I know, if you are like me, the days are full and that is a blessing.  For some, you may feel like you never get around to really committing to health.  This newsletter is for you.  I have a few updates that may help you.

Last month I did my first ever booth for the Cornelius Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.  We raffled off a beautiful basket filled with health goodies and I did free tongue screenings (much to the surprise of those passing by.  Yes, I'm that lady - the one who looks at your tongue to see how healthy you are).  LOL

My new practice is slowly building up local support.  I appreciate technology and the ability to keep and support my clients around the US.  Are you having as much fun during a tele-session as I am???

1) Making your initial or follow-up consultations...

Healthy Teeth = Healthy Body

I am so loving the weather right now!  It’s almost hard to sit and write this blog post.  But I do want to give you an update and share some information with you.

This May,  I will be traveling to New Jersey to teach at the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry.  I always enjoy teaching, but this is special group of people who I can really identify with.  For those who don’t know, I started my professional career working as a dental assistant.  This was in the late 80’s and early 90’s.  Let me tell you, dentistry has come a long way!  However, I would never call it a healthy field to work in.  For some dentists they have spent years working with replacing amalgam fillings, being exposed to chemicals they use in their field and hearing EVERY day - “Don’t take this personally, but I hate dentists!”

All the participants are learning how to better offer holistic health to their...

Welcome Spring 2019!

Beautiful Spring view from this past weekend.  I was in Atlanta at the National TACA (The Autism Community in Action) conference.  The hot topics were eliminating EMF's and using CBD to support Autism and other health issues.

As most of you know, I am an Autism Mom and when my son was born in 1993 very few healthcare practitioners were talking about Autism.  It was as if there was a black hole of information and support.  Even getting a diagnosis took years.

A fellow practitioner and conference buddy asked me if I had to give just 5 supporting tips for those working with Autism as a parent, teacher or practitioner, what would I suggest?  Great question because over the years we tried many diets, modalities, supplements, testing, physical therapies, schools/educational practices, etc.  Some just didn't help much, others were needle movers and we saw great improvement.

Note: Every person on the Autism spectrum varies greatly...

What I am watching:  Netflix, “Root Cause

This documentary is one person’s health journey which led him to discover root canal toxicity.  He interviews practitioners and professionals from around the world to bring awareness to the fact that only in the field of dentistry is there a procedure to keep dead tissue connected to the body and the toxicity this leads to has been linked to serious health consequences.

If you haven’t seen this...

Dowsing Your 2019 Goals

Happy New Year's Eve!  I know you may be getting ready to go out and about but I wanted to reach out to you before you start ringing in the new year.  Are you thinking about new goals, resolutions or just planning on sitting back and toasting the new year in with champagne?  Whatever you choose, I wanted to wish you a happy and healthy new year and to share with you what I will be doing today - Dowsing my 2019 goals.

Before the ball drops (or the crown here in Charlotte, NC) I like to find time to close out the year.  I find comfort in rituals of wellness and this is one of my favorites.  Here are the supplies I will be using:

  1. Beautiful Beeswax candle
  2. A new Be The Healer Journal (purchase here: JOURNAL)
  3. A blue gel pen
  4. A cup of my favorite tea (at this time of year I mix loose horsetail tea with spicy tulsi and 2 slices of organic lemon - add hot water to my teapot and steep for 10 min)
  5. My Atlantis pendulum
  6. 1 hour of quiet

During this one...

Spring Keto Celebration

Spring Keto Celebration

It’s Springtime and that means everything is in bloom.  I’ve been busy in the kitchen cooking up a delicious Spring keto dessert.  It takes a little time, but not too much and the results are great.  I used the Simple Mills Vanilla cake mix and put it in my silicone donut molds and baked for 15-18 min at 350 F in the oven.  Let cool then remove from mold and place on parchment paper to fill and assemble.

Lemon Curd:

3-4 lemons = 1/2/ cup of lemon juice

Zest from one lemon

1/3 C. Lakanto Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener

4 egg yolks

1/3 C. Unsalted butter cut into cubes

In a glass bowl mix the egg yolks, Lakanto, lemon zest and lemon juice.  Whisk together.  Place over a pan of simmering water and whisk for 8-10 min (until the curd has thickened.  Take off heat and whisk in cubes of butter until smooth.  Let cool.

Meringue:

4 egg whites

1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartart

1/3 C. Lakanto Powdered Monkfruit Sweetener

Mix all...

Halloween Sweets

Happy October!  I know, I’m late getting this out ~ I have no idea where the time has gone.  October is conference month which means just about every weekend I’ve been out at conferences (including this one).  In fact, I’m in my hotel room now typing this because I wanted to update everyone on what is going on at LTS (Life-Thyme Solutions).

First, I have taken on the position of Director of Education for Marco Pharma International, LLC.  Those who know me, understand how highly I value education.  I now have an even larger opportunity to share knowledge and experience with practitioners utilizing natural remedies.  It’s a very exciting time but it will limit my consultation availability.

Second, I want to remind you that the Be The Healer class is an online class anyone can purchase and take.  It’s the cornerstone of what I educate clients on when they consult me about their health.  How to get started?  What...

Amazon Store

Happy mid-August!  I hope this email finds you healthy and well.

In today's political hot topic of healthcare, it pays to be informed about current health issues, your own health history and to know how to self-monitor with simple biomarkers.

I get asked a lot about what products to use when making healthy choices.  While my suggestions always change as I learn and grow, I have put together an Amazon link list on my website where you will find most of the resources I like to use to monitor my own health.  You can find the page here: STORE

Some of you may know this already, but I believe the choices we make towards health should be for our own personal benefit.  This means, for example, if Ketogenic diet works best for me, Paleo or Mediterranean might work best for you.  The key is to find out what works for you.  Have you done that yet?  If not, you may want to start with the Be The Healer Journal where you can begin to keep...
