Welcome Summer 2026

Hello, Beautiful People!

I hope this little blog finds you healthy and happy.  Summer is officially just around the corner.  I usually like to write on a Solstice, but this June I will be on vacation.  June 15-29, in the Pacific Northwest.  A little family mini-retreat and celebrating another year around the sun (59!!!).  This means the office will be closed, and email and text availability will be limited.

If you need a follow-up consultation before then or after, get on your Practice Better account and set one up.  I do have openings available.

Remember, your Practice Better is the best way of keeping in touch.  There is a message center, the ability to upload forms, and a way to see when it's time to schedule your follow-up consultation.

I have had several new referrals to my practice, and I thought it might be good to share why I became a Board Certified Traditional Naturopath.

First, I love what I do.  Natural/Holistic medicine was not a service I was ever exposed to growing up.  I started college and enrolled in a 3-year BS Nursing program.  During my first semester, I had a meningitis vaccine reaction, which was misdiagnosed as Mono/Epstein-Barr.  I was temporarily paralyzed, and I could not swallow food.  The nerve damage was later diagnosed by a neurologist as Guillain–Barré syndrome and linked to the meningitis vaccine.  I still have residual nerve damage to this day.

This was my first experience (but not my last) of having a health issue that allopathic medicine couldn't help me with.  You may have heard me say that allopathic medicine is amazing for emergency health conditions, but in my experience, not great at handling chronic health conditions.  I also had infertility issues, chronic fatigue, and fifteen years ago, Lymphoma.

These health issues led me to do something I love to do, research.  I explored new things, learned new modalities, and slowly moved away from the dental assisting field into natural health and wellness.  I've sought out the best teachers around the world.  It has led me over and over again to Energy Medicine.  Working with the human energetic biofield is the most rewarding work of my life.  Understanding how our genetics, environment, and our own constitutional weaknesses can lead to chronic illness has helped me appreciate the work that goes into being a healthy human.

Definition of health to me: Keeping the body in a healthy, energetic, and biochemical state so it can heal itself.

That definition means there is no one-size-fits-all mentality in my practice.  I measure, recommend, and monitor your body's energetic field.  I energize manufactured remedies with your body's biofield to give you customized energetic support. What you do with that information is your responsibility.

We live in a world where our water, air, food, clothing, shelter, etc. can expose us to more toxins than we thought was safe for a human body to handle twenty years ago.  Fear won't help you.  Anger won't help you. Avoidance won't help you.   Knowledge will help you.

Your body is truly miraculous.  Sometimes it needs a little assistance.  In Homotoxicology, this would be any phase that crosses the Biological Zone (Phases IV, V, VI).  These phases indicate damaged enzymes and tissue breakdown.  In other words, the body is in chronic degeneration instead of rebuilding.  We naturally detoxify with every breath, every bowel movement, every urination, every tear (emotional detox), and even with every sleep.  Where we can get into trouble is when we are not detoxifying and repairing as fast as we are breaking down.  This is why doing detoxification programs when your body is too weak to handle them can be harmful.  We can use natural things to push us too much.  Exercise is good, but too much, too fast, beyond our body's ability, will cause injury.

If it's been longer than six months since your last BioEnergetic Consultation, set one up today.  Find out where you are currently measuring at so you can make choices on where to take your body next.

If you want to go further and learn how to be a Holistic Health Practitioner, then join my HHP program.  It's online, and you can take it from the comfort of your home.  Students and graduates are welcome to meet for a live Zoom every Wednesday at 12 pm ET.

Don't look for someone to heal you; learn how to activate the healer within.  Be the healer!
